Public Hearing Public Safety Radio Tower February 12, 2025

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:

That the Town of Rosendale will hold a Public Hearing on February 12, 2025, immediately
following the informational presentation at the Rosendale Municipal Building,
1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill, NY 12419 to consider a request by Ulster County for relief
from the Town of Rosendale’s Zoning Statute as provided for by the New York Court of Appeals
1988 case of Matter of County of Monroe v. City of Rochester, 72 N.Y. 2d338, 533 N.Y.S.2d 702,
(“County of Monroe”) whereby a Balancing of Public Interests Test can be utilized to grant immunity from
local zoning. Such relief is requested to allow the County to construct a 190 ft. tall Public Safety
Radio Tower to be located at 1915 Lucas Ave. Cottekill, N.Y. 12419. The brief presentation at
6PM will precede the Public Hearing Project, information is available on the Town’s website
in a public announcement posted October 21, 2024.
